Vegas x Duke puppies arrive in mid March 2008.
Contact us for details. This  promises to be an excellent breeding using dogs with strong drive, style and great temperaments.

These puppies spring from a pedigree that contains:

  • 9 Dual Champions  - there are less than 60 in the breed's entire history.
    5 Amateur Field Champions
    7 Master Hunters
    Over 40 Bench Champions

  • This will be the last  litter from our bitch Vegas - Tamdhu Dealer's Choice

  •  We plan our litters carefully with several objectives in mind. These objectives are to preserve and improve drive, stamina, style, conformation, temperament, and health.

  • We chose only medium  frame, medium coat, and solid  conformation stud dogs like Duke that compliment Vegas' traits. Both dogs have strong drive, hunt and pointing instinct.

  • We are also expecting strong bench / conformations from this mating.

  • Both Duke and Vegas possess keen, long range nose. Both are stylish, intense pointing dogs that love to hunt more than anything else on earth.

  • We expect our Gordons to be great companions. Temperament is extremely important to us. Our dogs make their homes in busy households and are exposed to a broad range of experiences. We expect these puppies will be excellent pets but you must provide a rich, varied environment for them to develop fully sound temperaments. This is particularly important in that first "golden year" of the puppies life when their emotional development and adaptability is greatest.

  • If you are looking primarily for a pet we firmly believe every dog needs a job. Something more than just laying around the house 24/7. Please recognize these are sporting dogs and they need physical exercise to remain happy and healthy. Who doesn't? Consider becoming active in some facet of field work, obedience, agility or other activity that will enrich your relationship with your Tamdhu pet.

  • Do not be put off if you are a great distance away. We can help arrange for transfer of your puppy at the appropriate time. Our puppies have been placed into all corners of US.

  • You should know that in recent years there are only about 15-20 litters of Gordon Setters registered with AKC. Overall only about 120 puppies are typically registered annually. There is of course a significantly greater pool of unregistered Gordon's out there.

  • If you simply must have a Gordon today and can't wait for a Tamdhu puppy, then we wish you luck in your search. Do your homework, study some pedigrees and ask lots of questions. If you are an active, responsible pet owner then we ask you to consider waiting for a Tamdhu puppy.

  • Being a hunter or show person is not a requirement for owning a Tamdhu dog. Being a great pet owner is.
