Some websites will have just a few pictures of snappy looking dogs pointing birds. Most of the time this picture is of a dog pointing a farm raised, manually planted bird such as a quail, pheasant, or maybe a pigeon under artificial conditions. As you can imagine, it's pretty easy to stroke up a dog and get great pictures under such controlled situations. Don't judge by pictures alone. Our dogs hunt, hunt hard, and produce game under real world conditions. Birds are pointed, flushed and killed, with only qualified exceptions. We use a copious number of quail each year training and testing our dogs. And we will enjoy a canned pheasant hunt from time to time. We are a hunting family and our dogs are proven on wild birds, not just farm raised poultry. As such, we concentrate our fall activities on quality bird work chasing wild birds under real world conditions. This is where we judge our dogs. Wild hunting conditions are challenging situations to get pictures - but we're working on it. Check back from time to time as we add to our photo collection.
